The month of December offers our little artists a unique opportunity to explore winter themes, holidays, and more, fostering creativity and developing fine motor skills! From snowflakes to snowmen, polar bears and penguins, gingerbread houses and decorations, to Christmas around the world we will pack as much art into this month as we possibly can, focusing on making our projects for gift giving!

January

JanuART

Focusing on winter, cold, and cozy themes, like snowflakes, winter animals (penguins, polar bears, owls), and seasonal activities like hot cocoa, skating, skiing and building snowmen, we will create winter art! Students will be introduced to a number of different mediums and art forms and will have cozy, warm fun creating their masterpieces!

February

FebruART

Students will have fun exploring February themes such as Valentine's Day and love, Black History Month, and Lunar New Year. Winter to spring transition and specific holidays like Groundhog Day and President's Day. We will do some artistic challenges, like daily face drawing or creating art inspired by artists like Alma Woodsey Thomas to get started on out Febru-ART adventure.

March

Go Green mARTch

In the month of March we will concentrate on painting, drawing, printing and sculpting things that grow in spring! From plants, to babies animals to fruits and vegetables, we will have fun exploring how the earth comes alive in the month or March!
