Playful Puppets

Campers will get inspired by the rhythms and emotions of storytelling through movement, poetry, and puppetry. Campers will explore the many ways art can tell stories. Then, they’ll bring original characters to life using painting, sculpting, and constructing.

Week 2: June 10, 11, 12

Creative Clay

Creativity knows no bounds when it comes to working with clay. Campers will draw inspiration from nature as they explore various techniques to sculpt, hand-build, coil and slab air dry clay! We will finish with paint to create original ceramic art!

JULY

Week 3: July 15, 16, 17

Make it BIG

Campers will explore patterns and shapes found in paintings throughout history. They will gather inspiration from different artworks to create larger-than-life pieces by playing with paint, cardboard, fabric, felt, and their imaginations! We will make BIG bugs, faces, birds and more!

Week 4: July 22, 23, 24

Natural Explorers

How does nature inspire artists? Campers will take a close look at plants, flowers, and animals as they learn about color and design to build a terrarium, make clay impression pieces, impression paintings, and maybe even a bird or bat house.

ReCreative

These camps focus on the magic of turning reused, reclaimed and recycled materials into beautiful art! We will reuse, reduce and recycle all while having fun creating!

Week 6: August 5, 6, 7

Fiber Arts

In this class we will focus on teaching students how to work with fibers and textiles to create art.Art quilts, hand painting garments, silk paintings, weaving, felting, printing, and finger Knitting are all some of the fun fiber arts we will explore in this super fun class!
